About the role
As Innovation Manager Smart Manufacturing at Storio group, you will be the driving force behind the digital evolution within manufacturing, as part of the new domain that is digital manufacturing. Working within the Industrial Engineering & Planning function, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering, production, process improvement, data & analytics and the Project Management Office.

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Owning the digital manufacturing strategy & roadmap covering both Storio group wide strategy on digitization as well as location specific -needs on applications used for manufacturing
    • Centrally owning the third party group manufacturing software (Symphony) overseeing the architecture in light of the digital transformation roadmap, and understanding the impact of change requests.
    • Developing a manufacturing data infrastructure enabling digital transformation, allowing for both reactive and proactive data driven decision making within the digital domain and beyond 
    • Developing a manageable, scalable and cross-site support structure for digital manufacturing, allowing quick problem solving within manufacturing when needed.
    • You actively explore opportunities for improvements, considering manufacturing needs as well as industry trends,  to connect the digital world to the physical world, exploring the potential for moving more and more into industry 4.0.

    • Playing a pivotal role in the digital transformation of the multinational manufacturing sites of Storio group.
    • Unlocking the potential of data driven decision making
    • Playing a strategic role in shaping the future of the digital manufacturing organization by further designing the digital landscape, developing a robust operational support model, and building partnerships with key-players in the industry.

Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:

    • Bachelor (BSc) or Master degree in an (industrial) engineering discipline.
    • Equivalent extensive experience in a similar mid/senior manufacturing lead / product owner role.
    • Exposed to digital transformation or MES/MOMS implementation projects.
    • Manufacturing or factory-based experience.
    • Project management skills and knowledge of applicable tools e.g. Gantt chart, Critical Path Analysis, Action plan, Jira.
    • Data driven, and analytical knowledge is a must.
    • Hands-on mentality.
    • Fluent in English both written & spoken. 

Nice to Have Experience:

    • Manufacturing or factory-based experience.
    • Fluent in either French, German, Dutch, and/or Spanish both written & spoken.
    • Print industry, e-commerce, aerospace, automotive or FMCG.
