About the role
At Storio group, leading player in the printing industry, we are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in one of our factories; Plant Ypenburg, located in The Hague. As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall plant performance. Additionally, you'll manage projects and support capital expenditure (CAPEX) implementation to facilitate the growth and development of the plant.

Primary responsabilites

    • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce production costs.
    • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, to drive operational excellence. Implement best practices and innovative technologies to streamline processes and increase overall plant efficiency.
    • Uphold and promote a culture of safety within the plant.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess production capacity requirements and develop capacity planning strategies. Forecast future demand, analyze production capabilities, and recommend measures to ensure the plant meets production targets efficiently.
    • Lead and manage projects aimed at improving process efficiency, expanding production capacity, or implementing new technologies. Develop project plans, coordinate resources, track progress, and ensure timely completion within budget and scope.
    • Support the identification, evaluation, and implementation of capital expenditure projects to enhance plant capabilities and infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and oversee the execution of CAPEX projects.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and performance metrics. Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to drive alignment and achieve common goals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects.

Experience and Attributes we'd like to see

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience (2-5 years) in a process engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the printing or packaging industry.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in process optimization methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing or Total Quality Management.
    • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. Experience with printing machinery and technologies is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
    • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
    • Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems, such CAD software, and statistical analysis tools.
