About the Role
In this entry level position, you are responsible for the business operations of Fotoknudsen AS in Bergen, Norway. In addition to the timely and accurate reporting of (non) financial information, you are a business partner that identifies opportunities to optimize costs and supports efficiency initiatives.
Furthermore, you will play a key role in the company’s merger and acquisition efforts, including the drive towards automation of accounting services. The position is based in Amsterdam or Den Haag and reports to the Accounting Manager
Your Daily Adventure at Storio:
- Responsible for the efficient processing and payment of vendor invoices and (travel) expense claims in the Oracle ERP Cloud solution, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time, in accordance with group procedure.
- Perform month end close activities (e.g., creation of provisions for outstanding invoices) including checks and balances to ensure the recorded figures are accurate and are complete in accordance with IFRS.
- Establish and maintain constructive relationships with 3rd parties and several business process owners and subject matter experts in the company (i.e., FP&A, Marketing, HR, etc.) to obtain appropriate approvals for purchase orders and/or requisitions.
- Provide support to the business on the appropriate accounting treatment for transactions.
- Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations monthly.
- Participate in external audits to ensure full regulatory and statutory compliance of the company.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to The Party:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Economics or Business Administration.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Other languages like Dutch, French, Spanish and/or German is a plus.
- Hands-on mentality, proactive, self-reliant and an entrepreneurial attitude with a high level of autonomy and self-accountability.
- Highly motivated, proactive and open-minded team player with a flexible attitude, who can work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way (i.e., no silo mentality)
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and with all levels of the organization and cope with rapidly changing information.
- Knowledge and understanding of IFRS accounting principles is desirable.
