What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a clever, detail oriented and motivated individual to join our production Team. This is a career position for a self motivated individual with a keen eye for detail. This position is open for either fully remote or in our office in Costa Mesa, CA.  

What does this position entail?
The Videographer is responsible for supporting projects through the primary role of videographer and field producer, providing detailed planning and execution during pre-production and production of video projects. This position reports directly to the Associate Creative Director, as well as working closely with the Head of Production, and will provide key departmental support in order to ensure the annual production schedule is maintained. 

A Typical Day in this position will invole

    • Work with Head of Production, Associate Creative Director, Producers and Directors to field produce and film individual Roadtrips and other production projects as needed, including but not limited to: 
    • Support directors and producers during pre-visualization of assigned projects
    • Perform typical pre-production planning tasks as it relates to scheduling, coordinating production logistics, equipment needs, researching and planning interview locations, etc.
    • Set up, operate and breakdown camera, lighting and audio equipment on location 
    • Perform routine video and audio equipment maintenance in the field to ensure production is not interrupted 
    • Work with Head of Production and Associate Creative Director to coordinate camera, lighting and sound workshops to support internal professional growth and skill sets; identify other external professional skill development opportunities for the video production team
    • Travel as needed to coordinate and/or wrap video productions, supporting projects with basic on set tasks such as equipment set up and breakdown, driving the RV, etc.
    • Ability to provide additional editing support as needed when not in conflict with primary duties.

Preferred Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in film/video production, a degree/certificate from a film academy, related area of study or similar work experience
    • 2+ years of experience with documentary, television, reality, or feature film production
    • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and other production management software
    • This job may require driving on occasion as an essential part of the role, which requires passing a DMV background check.
