Position Summary/Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced client-facing team member to join StraighterLine’s Strategic Partnerships team. The Strategic Partnerships team works closely with our higher education institution partners to ensure exceptional outcomes and goal-aligned growth.
This role focuses on delivering successful results for our higher education institution partners, utilizing a mix of strategic consulting, problem-solving, and business orientation to manage and develop strategic client relationships.This role enables cross-functional collaboration within StraighterLine, ensuring successful completion of activities including goal identification and discovery, collaborative product delivery, and growth of our existing relationships.

Goals of the Position:

    • Lead partner relationships focused on high quality outcomes, including growth and renewals, ensuring the most successful utilization of our core products
    • Use metrics and KPIs to track and measure outcomes, communicating success and next steps to the partner on a regular basis
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to prioritize improvements based on data, insights, and organizational strategy
    • Earn trust and increase client satisfaction through partnership support, insights, and strategic initiative execution
    • Serve as the voice of our partners, advocating for client goals and the path to achievement, enabling input into core products, marketing, sales, and technology processes

The best candidate will be able to:

    • Work closely with multiple partner institutions to deliver successful outcomes using data, best practice insights, and a problem-solving, solution-oriented mindset
    • Review data-focused insights with curiosity and desire to explore why student results for each partner institution are what they are
    • Navigate competing business priorities while collaborating on product implementation and design decisions
    • Take a consultative approach to investigating partner’s needs and uncovering new opportunities
    • Intuitively know (or know how to discover) what a partner cares about and how to provide them that information and support their objectives, strategic plans, and mission
    • Approach every partner interaction as an opportunity to collect their feedback on the quality of our programs and the caliber of our services

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

    • 5+ years of total experience in management consulting, customer-focused services or similar – experience within higher education strongly encouraged
    • Proven track record working in a customer-facing role, preferably at an organization where high-touch, long-term relationships were essential to success
    • Knowledge and understanding of how to develop strong trust-based client relationships - balancing confidence, humility, trust, and diplomacy
    • Exceptional project management, communication, and change management skills
    • Strong analytical approach with an understanding of performance metrics and experience analyzing data
    • Experience engaging cross-functionally with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to synthesize information and deliver strong storytelling; high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required
    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
