The VP of Sales, Early Childhood Education Revenue owns and drives revenue growth in the Early Childhood Education line of business; leads and coaches the sales, account management and  enrollment teams to identify and secure new revenue opportunities and maintain existing business. They direct all operational activities of the sales, account management and enrollment team to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively. With the Chief Growth officer, they develop the strategy to align resources to secure revenue growth for the ECE vertical, setting performance metrics and revenue goals for their team. They also build long-term, strategic relationships with key customers.

Ideal candidate will live within 90 minutes of Arlington, VA in one of the following states (VA, MD, PA, DC).

Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate and expand within the Early Childhood Education vertical driving revenue and increasing market share.
    • Align sales objectives with overall company goals.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the team, setting clear targets and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Create and execute innovative sales strategies to identify, engage, and convert prospects into long-term clients, leveraging market insights and competitive analysis.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with executives and decision-makers with key customers, understanding their needs and positioning our solutions effectively.
    • Drive revenue growth by consistently exceeding sales targets, negotiating contracts, and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key clients.
    • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and support services teams to align messaging, product development, and support strategies with clients' requirements.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts, applying insights to refine sales tactics, improve product positioning, and enhance the overall sales process.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing the organization's visibility and credibility within the ECE field.
    • Manage, analyze and report on performance metrics [benchmarks, KPIs, dashboards]. This will include monitoring, reporting performance on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual plans, and where applicable, preparing contingency plans to correct performance issues. 

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
    • 7-10 years experience as a Sales Director, VP of Sales or similar senior sales role.
    • Experience in education technology or SaaS fields preferred
    • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance enhancement. Proven background in developing people, building strong teams and attracting talent.
    • Strong data analytics skills and ability to leverage CRM tools (Salesforce, etc)
    • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Ability to think strategically and to lead with a hands-on approach.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong business acumen of best business practices in a high growth environment
    • Ability to collaborate and build trusting internal relationships.
    • Innovative problem-solving skills.
    • Willingness to travel as required.
