Come join us - we are hiring for a brand new position - a Quality Assurance Lead on our Technology team.
The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for aligning quality standards for our product development teams. They participate in sprint activities as part of a product team while working with QA Engineers across all product teams to define, establish and implement QA best practices. They will play a strategic role in coordinating the QA teams across the organization.
This is a primarily remote position. Candidates should be located within a two-hour drive of either Duluth, GA or the DC/Baltimore area as the position will require in person meetings from time to time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the local expert for quality assurance and testing
- Contribute and operate as the team lead on one or more development projects.
- Coordinate efforts across the engineering, product, and design teams to deliver quality excellence on products.
- Coach and mentor other team members on non-technical and technical quality activities.
- Proactively evaluate the team’s current approach, workflow, and technologies and present improvements to leadership that can benefit the team and company.
- Establish, document and oversee QA processes and policies
- Define testing standards and strategies for our products including both manual and automated testing
- Define, measure and report metrics to track product quality, test coverage, test efficiency, etc
- Help to build quality-driven engineering culture with a focus on rapid delivery with confidence
- Maintains knowledge of current testing approaches, tools and technologies.
- Work with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process.
- Identify and drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or project management
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring a quality assurance team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with standard web technologies
- Experience working with Selenium or Cypress for web
- Postman experience an advantage
- Mobile testing strategies desirable
