The Senior Fund Accountant will be a part of our Private Equity division assisting in the administration of various clients. The candidate will be an integral part of the STRAIT team, helping to drive client deliverables and internal process efficiencies. This position provides significant growth opportunities.  


    • Preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger for assigned partnerships
    • Preparing and recording capital activity, including capital calls, distributions, and transfers
    • Maintaining and fostering a knowledge of current accounting principles, including understanding issues/developments in accounting pronouncements that affect assigned partnerships
    • Developing a working understanding of the limited partnership agreements(s) and applying the terms to the applicable client deliverables
    • Preparing the financial statements and footnotes
    • Preparing client specific reports for assigned partnerships
    • Obtaining and maintaining an understanding of effective uses of STRAIT specific technology and systems
    • Reviewing and approving the work of fund accountants
    • Analyzing investment performance and delivering the results to the client
    • Performing ad-hoc tasks, as needed
    • Up to 10% travel may be required


    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or other related field
    • CPA or CPA candidate preferred


    • Three (3) or more years of experience in accounting
    • One (1) or more years of experience in private equity
    • Experience using the FIS Investran preferred
    • Detail oriented and highly analytical
    • Frequent and clear communication, both written and oral
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
