STRAIT is hiring an experienced Director of Business Development to join our team of high performers. This Director will be a member of the Executive Team, setting strategy to launch our firm to the next level. This role is responsible for new client generation, broadening our base of referral partners, and increasing our market awareness nationwide. We are looking for a builder and a leader – someone who thrives on success and building relationships. Location: Anywhere in the US.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with Private Equity, Hedge Fund, Compliance, and Financial Oversight teams to create division specific marketing strategies and executionplans
    • Develop a strong pipeline of new customers through direct or indirect customer contact, and prospectingindustry referralsources
    • Develop and execute direct sales programs, set and manage prospect meetings, assist team in preparing forsales calls and most importantly, closedeals
    • Prepare and deliver presentation to clients and industry participants as part of the sales process and as partof marketing efforts to increase brandawareness
    • Coordinate relationship building activities with team members, subject matter professionals, and otherpersonnel
    • Foster and expand the firm’s referralnetwork
    • Host and attend industry meetings andconferences
    • Use various research tools to identify prospects and lead the Business Development team inprospecting
    • Maintain CRM to track prospect activity and status for pipeline statusreport
    • Educate the team on industry events and trends while working with Directors to drive internalreferrals
    • Organize firm sponsoredevents
    • Achieve weekly sales metrics, including meetings, tracking updates and revenue goals

EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related Accounting/Finance degree

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of Business Development experience in the financial servicesindustry
    • Solid knowledge of the alternative investments, fund structures, and various financialstrategies
    • Proven record ofsuccess
    • Ability to travel to multiple cities, client sites, andevents/conferences
    • Frequent and clear communication, both written andverbal
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workflow in a fast-pacedenvironment
    • Must be committed and take interest in latest industry trends andstrategies
