Street Smarts VR is a veteran-owned, dual-use technology platform that's revolutionizing tactical training through virtual reality and improving public safety outcomes. By integrating software, hardware, and training data, SSVR's solution is transforming the VR training landscape.

Across four continents, 10,000 users across dozens of US military and police departments currently train with SSVR - and that's a tiny fraction of the 5 million first responders in the US who carry weapons and for whom training is not just a requirement but a moral imperative. SSVR is forecasting rapid growth over the coming years in both state and local law enforcement as well as all 4 branches of the US Military.

At Street Smarts VR, we understand that military and first responders consistently operate in high stress, high consequence environments. We’ve lived it. So by leveraging virtual reality and real-world data sources, we’ve built a fully immersive platform that conditions users to the real life stressors they will face in the field.

This isn’t just about VR; it's about our commitment to creating realistic, impactful, and life-saving training.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be in a strategic, pivotal role that charts our course in the vast waters of tactical training. The scope of your work responsibility won’t be limited to just features; it will zoom out to look at the broader horizons of training outcomes, market alignment, and user-centric innovation. Collaborating closely with Sales and Customer Success, you'll ensure our product not only serves our end-users but also enables our overarching business strategies, driving genuine value.

You will guide 2-3 cross-functional product teams, each composed of approximately 5 developers and artists, aimed at the Law Enforcement and DoD market. While these won't be direct reports, your leadership will be crucial in translating training needs into cutting-edge products that stand out for their value and impact. Your responsibilities will span product ideation, development, launch, to iterative refinement, always with an eye on both internal strategies and external market shifts.

    • Insightful Planning: Dive deep into market research, client feedback, and sales insights to craft product strategies that aren’t just reactive, but proactively address emerging needs and opportunities in the tactical training landscape.
    • Resource Optimization: Partner with Engineering and Art Team leads to allocate resources, ensuring streamlined development without compromising on product quality or vision.
    • Creative Design: Conceptualize MVPs and pilot projects to validate product-market fit.

    • Roadmapping the Future: Collaboratively shape a product vision and trajectory, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned, informed, and enthusiastic about the direction we're heading in.
    • Make the Impossible Possible: Lead R&D projects to explore new technological approaches and product ideas. Based on learned insights, propose transitions or pivots that will lead the industry.
