Are you a PyTorch engineer excited about AI and deep learning? We’re looking for talented PyTorch Engineers who thrive on collaboration, problem-solving, and in-person teamwork for groundbreaking AI projects. As part of our team, you’ll also get to participate in our unique monthly Chess Hackathons—an event that brings together engineers and users to collaborate, solve challenges, and learn in a friendly, competitive setting.

Our Chess Hackathons are a cornerstone of our culture. During these events, we reference chess concepts as a foundation for problem-solving and strategy-building, drawing parallels between the moves on the board and innovative solutions in AI. Whether you’re a seasoned chess player or a complete beginner, these sessions are a fantastic opportunity to connect with our user community, build camaraderie, and test new ideas in a dynamic environment.


Locations:
San Francisco – Able to travel to West Portal (in-person preferred).
Remote – Open to outstanding candidates comfortable participating in group projects virtually.


Requirements:

Technical Skills
Deep Learning with PyTorch: Proficient in tensor operations and popular model architectures. (Essential)Familiarity with VSCode and comfortable working in the terminal. (Essential)Machine Learning/Data Science: Understanding of mathematics and statistics is a plus.Computer Science Fundamentals: Knowledge of hardware, algorithms, and networking is beneficial.

Strategic Skills
Proven ability to problem-solve collaboratively.Comfortable navigating open-ended solution spaces.Skilled in partnering with others to complement strengths in group settings.Resilient and adaptable to challenges, with a focus on learning and improving.

Soft Skills
Confident and proactive in meeting new people and seeking support when needed.Interest in Chess is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and patience.


Other Requirements
Reliable computer and internet connection (if remote).
