Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant – Brand is responsible for managing brand partnerships deals from beginning to end. This role will be working with other departments to review budgets, process accounts receivable and payable records, cash application, financial reporting and reconciliations. They will also manage American Express and Employee Reimbursements and provide support in other areas withing the accounting team.
 
The Staff Accountant – Brand is a key player in the organization and is also responsible for supporting other areas within the accounting team including cash application, reporting and additional functions relating to our Financial Close process.
 
Responsibilities and Duties:
·      Reviewing contracts, request customer and vendor setups where needed
·      Maintain accurate records on brand deals and general ledger accounts
·      Process billing, collections, arrange payment to creators, cash receipts
·      Process American Express Corporate credit card charges and expense reimbursements through Concur
·      Provide support for IP/Production monthly journal entries
·      Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, revenue and costs analysis and prepare associated journal entries to resolve discrepancies
·      Assist with the transition from Microsoft Great Plains to Microsoft Dynamics BC
·      Identify and implement process improvement activities by automating processes, utilizing existing systems and reducing manual work effort wherever possible
·      Assist with annual audit support and other ad hoc projects as necessary
 
Qualifications and Skills:
·      Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field is required
·      Minimum 2+ years of related experience
·      ERP knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics and/or Great Plains experience preferred) and     knowledge of Concur preferred
·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and keen attention to detail
·      Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
·      Strong oral, written, interpersonal communications, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
·      Self-motivated and innovative with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
·      Passion for digital media and entertainment (preferred though not required)
 
 
 
Salary Expectations:
 
Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000 annually + benefits.
