This role operates on a hybrid model, with a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration at our Craiova, Romania location, working in office 1-3 days per week.
Where do you fit?
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Mid-Level Developer to join our SugarCRM development team. The ideal candidate will have solid software engineering fundamentals, experience with SugarCRM or similar CRM platforms, and the ability to work on both back-end and front-end tasks. You’ll work closely with senior developers, QAs, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality CRM customizations, integrations, and features that align with business goals.
Impact you will make in the role:
- Develop and maintain customizations (custom modules, logic hooks, workflows, and API integrations) in SugarCRM.
- Implement front-end customizations using SugarCRM's Sidecar framework.
- Collaborate with team members across various regions (APAC, EMEA, NA) in a global development environment.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Analyze requirements, provide accurate estimates, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Stay updated with industry trends, especially in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL and CRM technologies.
What you will bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in software development, preferably with CRM platforms.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Experience writing unit tests.
- Experience working in UNIX environments such as macOS and Linux
- Proficiencyin UNIX command line and basic server operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with SugarCRM development.
- Hands-on experience with SugarCRM or similar CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics).
- Experience with automation testing tools or frameworks.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience working in a global team supporting APAC/EMEA/NA regions.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience using Redis or Elasticsearch.
