THE DIGITAL PRODUCT MANAGER POSITION
Sunnova is searching for a Digital Product Manager to lead an agile team tasked with developing software in support Sunnova’s Energy Services business. The Digital Product Manager will work closely with the technology team to build software to enable key business functions such as SREC reporting, grid services program participation, position management and forecasting, and active asset control. The ideal Digital Product Manager will have a strong background in grid services, energy management systems, renewable energy concepts, full system simulation and system optimization. Additionally, the Digital Product Manager will be responsible for setting the vision/roadmap for Energy Services software development and will be expected to engage with end users to understand user pain points, define and document product requirements, and assess business value of features to enhance Sunnova’s Energy Services capabilities.

DIGITAL PRODUCT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
•Create and maintain a roadmap of features and enhancements for a robust data platform to support a wide range of Sunnova services
•Maintain high degree of job knowledge and subject matter expertise in data warehousing, data architecture, and data services
•Engages with software end users via interviews, site visits, and other forms of user research
•Facilitate change adoption and business readiness for new features and products; including creating and facilitating training content as necessary
•Collaborate with cross functional internal teams to ensure new product initiatives are delivered with alignment from all key stakeholders
•Provide regular data driven analysis and recommendations on how Sunnova can iterate and improve the products and features for assigned area
•Create and submit project and user story requests for assigned areas
•Assist in the design of technical solutions to satisfy desired business outcomes and support testing of developed features
•Adheres to Sunnova product management standards & practices, including using Agile methodology
•Establishes positive working relationships with team, department, and key stakeholders
•Manage business analyst(s) in a matrixed environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent
•5+ years’ experience as a product owner or manager 
•2+ years’ experience in grid services, energy management systems, renewable energy concepts, full system simulation and system optimization
•1+ years’ experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM), energy markets, SREC, ancillary services, and balancing authorities 
•2+ years’ experience with supporting/facilitating projects for cloud based technology, Salesforce experience preferred
•2+ years’ experience with agile 
•Thorough understanding of Project Life Cycle management controls
•Agile Product Owner Certification required
•Legally authorized to work in the US for ANY employer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience managing people preferred.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
•Strong, demonstrated ability to identify risks to project schedules and organization readiness for planned changes
•Strong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL or other query techniques
•Functional knowledge of business & technology areas that assigned team supports
•Strong, demonstrated ability to identify, suggest, and implement solutions for process or technology improvements
•Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
•Ability to manage and delegate work as part of a team in a matrix environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
•Extended periods of time working at computer workstation 
•Schedule needs to be flexible to the needs of the business and may require occasional weekend or evening availability to support software releases
