Sunnova Energy is searching for a Construction Program Manager to be responsible for managing the Business Markets operations program facilitating commercial solar installations, development of the business markets process, as well as oversight and management of the project lifecycle for Business Markets PV projects. CPM will primarily be performing program management & coordination of project installation lifecycle from contract through commissioning. In addition to this the COPM will be assisting the team to close standard solar projects passed on from Sunnova New Homes as well as assisting the VP of Business Markets
Construction to develop the new department and teams supporting this new venture.

CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·                  Support Business Markets team in identifying and implementing process
improvement protocols
·                  Support project managers in contract preparations, statements of work, collection
of certificate of insurance, development, submittal, and tracking of request for
information (RFI)
·                  Assist in the administration of the bid process for submittal work
·                  Field administrative support including crew schedule management, crew per
diem, crew lodging, team building exercises, fleet maintenance, miscellaneous
job purchasing
·                  Internal system job tracking
·                  Assist management in updating the project schedule using project management
·                  Sales Engineering
·                  Performs Customer facing discussions with facilities personnel
·                  Performs New build discussions with architects and/or prime contractors
(with subs)
·                  Coordinates practical capability ideation and interfaces with Sunnova
engineering to refine initial designs and SLD’s
·                  Technical and budgetary input on Request for Proposal activity
·                  Overnight travel to performs site walk downs for potential projects to
qualify feasibility and quantify any necessary site upgrades necessary.
·                  Assessment of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction costs for
potential projects to estimate build cost for bidding and quotation
·                  Project Management (Dealer Channel)
·                  Establishes review process of initial design and final design
·                  Establishes clear communication and handoff from Engineering to
·                  Construction team
·                  Facilitates and advises on questions between Construction team and
·                  Engineering
·                  Draft and execute work orders
·                  Project Management (Direct Channel)
·                  Solicit bids from subcontractors to satisfy the scope of work, project
timing, and project budget
·                  Negotiate contracts and onboard subcontractors
·                  Collaborate with engineering team to apply for permits (AHJ), utility
interconnection, and rebate programs (where applicable)
·                  Track progress on assigned projects and report out to management
·                  Intervene to problem solve barriers that slow down progress
·                  Project Payments
·                  Review Dealer milestone documentation and approve payments
·                  Work internally to ensure timely payment of invoices
·                  Liaison with finance to provide updated milestone dates for accounting
purposes
·                  Installer Vetting and Setup
·                  Performs qualification vetting for potential commercial installers and
approval
·                  Oversees Channel Partner Agreement (CPA) rules and regulation
changes by state and/or jurisdiction
·                  Oversees CPA (install) rules and regulations by customer type by
jurisdiction (ex. ISD's Muni's, Govt.)
·                  Performs CPA negotiations
·                  Oversees cost expectations of general contracting to rationalize cost
proposals:
o   Hourly labor by state
o   BOS estimates
o   Major materials
·                  Deeper Installer Support and Oversight
·                  Supports change order processing, negotiation, and contract (exhibit
amendment if necessary)
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 
·                  General construction knowledge
·                  Understands and can demonstrate how to manage budgets, scheduling tools and bid process
·                  Familiar with construction subcontracts
·                  3+ years of commercial solar construction experience
·                  Experience working with and managing Matrixed project teams
·                  Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
·                  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
·                  Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
·                  Excellent customer service skills required
·                  Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
·                  Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
 
Preferred Qualifications
·                  Technical knowledge of: Aesthetic optimization of systems installation; Racking solutions; Inverters; DAS; Roofing Penetration; Roofing protection
·                  Knowledgeable base regarding roof types, structural integrity of roofs/canopy
