Summary of Role:

Our SunPower New Homes Division is looking for a Builder Account Manager for the Sacramento market, one of the largest homebuilding markets in the US. The position will be remote and will report to the Northern California Builder Account Executive. Primary responsibilities will include developing business with new accounts, successful launching of sales programs in new home communities with booked accounts, as well as day-to-day support of ongoing operations with launched communities. The Builder Account Manager will support the Builder Account Executive in these efforts but will also work closely with the inside sales team and operations team to drive sales and operational efficiency and execution.

The successful candidate will work closely with our homebuilder partners to gather, communicate, and organize information and project requirements necessary to fulfill our obligations. The candidate will build strong relationships and rapport with SunPower builder accounts with the primary goal of improving communication, information flow and execution of our commitments.  This individual will be self-motivated, highly organized, strong with written and verbal communication and capable of prioritizing, problem solving and working autonomously. They will lead in-person meetings at customer locations, host conference calls and perform account level analysis and reporting activities.

The ideal candidate for this role will reside in the Greater Sacramento, CA area. Driving throughout the region will be required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Grow market and increase share within the homebuilding channel, deliver shipment and lead targets in region, and accomplish specific Key Results
    • Achieve new community booking targets for region to deliver quarterly lead and shipment targets
    • Developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • In person customer meetings with builder accounts, frequent conference calls, emails, inbound and outbound calling
    • Data and information collection necessary to launch operational functions necessary to starting new communities, including master plan design, rebate reservations, interconnection, and other functions required by the Operations team
    • Data and information collection necessary to launch sales programs in new and existing communities, including builder pricing, contact information, specific sales requirements and program types
    • Document account level processes, specific requirements and decision makers responsible for supporting SunPower program requirements
    • Development of training guidelines for use in communicating SunPower builder program requirements
    • Activation of new home community sales campaigns, successful hand-off to inside sales team
    • Day-to-day information gathering, problem solving and communication regarding customer inquiries, operational delays, inside sales activities and level one escalations
    • First line support to cross-functional team members (i.e., Builder Operations Managers, Community Account Managers, Energy Consultants, Design, etc.) that rely on accurate and timely account and community information to successfully perform their duties
    • Review of monthly reports with Builder Account Executive to identify issues and opportunities inhibiting business unit success factors

Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree, with 2 years of related work experience
    • Demonstrated track record of working independently in outside sales, project management or similar roles
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, with proven ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships
    • Demonstrated track record of producing tangible results in a competitive and rapidly growing market
    • Understanding of residential production home building industry, financing and construction methods
    • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel; Salesforce experience is highly desired
    • Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • A strong desire to be a part of a rapidly growing business with an opportunity to progress in the sales team
    • Flexible work hours and willingness to work outside standard business hours
    • Position will be "remote" based, with approximately 25% regional travel
The base pay for this position ranges from $99,289.00/year to $143,435.00/year. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
