Role:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Live Haul Operations Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to repair chicken modules, ensuring they are safe and functional for transportation. This position is not part of the Production Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding repairs on chicken modules to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- Inspect modules for damage and wear, and determine the best repair methods.
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
