Requirements
This person will be responsible for the assembly, testing, trouble-shooting, service and repair of a wide variety of process pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating process equipment. Applicant must have a good attitude, be capable of working under pressure, and handle daily changes in schedules and priorities.
· Trouble shoot & inspect pumps and other rotating equipment that are not operating properly using drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals and diagnostic equipment.
· Inspect parts and various components, determine if parts are re-useable/repairable and provide a complete written service report.
· Diagnose problems and recommend of repairs.
· Specify repair parts and labor for quotation by CSR’s.
· Assemble units according to manufacturer specifications & tolerances.
· Test repaired unit.
· Align equipment assemblies.
· Shop and field work will be required and may include physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.
· Clean, organize, and maintain Shop and Shop equipment.
· Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
The qualified individual will have the following skills and experience:
· Mechanical pump or rotating equipment experience preferred.
· Vo-tech or additional technical training is a plus.
· Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
· Must be able to stand 95 to 100% of the workday.
· Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
· Valid driver’s license required.
· Must have ability to read and interpret schematics.
