Position Summary:
Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the company’s inventory processes.  Key responsibilities and qualifications associated with the role:

Experience, Education and Skills

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
    • 3+ years experience in related inventory control and warehouse positions.
    • Highly proficient in previous inventory management software ERP’s
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to create charts and graphs in Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to work alone and prioritize tasks
    • Familiar with bar code scan guns and bar code technology

Essential Functions

    • Cycle Counting – conducting physical counts, reconciliation, and update in ERP.
    • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP software.
    • Loss Mitigation: Assist in developing processes/procedures to minimize inventory loss and improve inventory accuracy.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies.
    • Reporting and analysis of cycle count data: using ERP and reporting tools through Microsoft Excel and Power BI to record items counted, cycle count accuracy, net shrink/gain.  Analyze data for management review.
    • Investigate discrepancies: Conduct research to determine root cause of discrepancies and report findings.
    • Data analysis: Compile data for inventory accuracy and net shrink/gain dollars.
    • Complete summary reporting:  record cycle count data in MS Excel and complete charts for historical analysis.
    • Pick Distribution Center Orders: Collect product required for orders, inspect packaging and product for damage, process pick tickets, distribute finished product to customer’s assembly area.
    • Pack Distribution Center Orders: Pack merchandise properly to insure safe arrival to its destination.  Label packages appropriately.
    • Ship Orders: Prepare barcodes, manifests, and invoices.  Maintain shipping records. Calculate shipping costs. Determine appropriate mode of transportation and process accordingly.
    • Receive Merchandise: Verify accuracy of inbound shipments.  Prepare and process reports. Distribute merchandise to stock locations.
    • Maintain Warehouse: Clean as necessary.  Maintain organized work area.
