Performs Service and Repair duties including routine maintenance, repair and assembly under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

    • Disassemble components and power units for service and repair including teardown and inspection of unit.
    • Soldering and De-soldering of through-hole and surface mount components.
    • Make and test cables.
    • Analyze unit and parts involved to prepare a listing of parts that are worn, damaged, or not functioning properly.
    • Use huntron, digital volt meter, capacitor checker to static test components.
    • Assist in training of Electronic Technicians Level 1.
    • Initial Power Testing and Diagnostics.
    • Read and comprehend manuals in order to setup testing.
    • Assist in setup of test equipment.
    • Assist in reverse engineering of electrical units.
    • Standard level repair and testing within department with minimal supervision.
    • Clean, organize, and maintain the Lab equipment.
    • Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout department.
    • Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.  
    • Other duties as assigned.

General Education and Experience

    • Education—High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required. 2 year Electronic Engineering degree or formal training in industrial technology, electronics or related field in which fluid power is part of the curriculum preferred. 
    • Electrical Aptitude —Advanced ability in soldering, de-soldering, component recognition, making & testing cables. Ability to disassemble, clean and assemble electrical units and understand electric theory. Ability to read and comprehend schematics. Understanding of both direct and alternating current theory. 
    • Experience—2-3 years of electronics experience.
    • Physical Dexterity—Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.  Position stands 95 to 100% of the workday
