Established in 2018, Sun Studio is a game developer on web platforms and mobile devices with more than 1 billion plays, a strategic partner of the world's leading web-games platforms such as: Facebook Instant Games, Game Distribution, Glance Gaming, Microsoft Start Games, EZ Games etc.

The team consists of over 70 members who are passionate about creating games that are accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Sun Studio’s Human Resources function, including People Operations and Talent Acquisition of 4+ members. You will serve as the right hand of our CEO and go-to person for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

    • The most important responsibilities are listed in order:

    • 1. Employee Performance Management (30%)
    • Review, set up, and implement employee performance management using modern frameworks, such as OKR, KPI, or BSC.
    • Lead and implement the performance improvement and coaching initiatives to help employees meet or exceed objectives.

    • 2. Total Rewards (30%)
    • Oversee and manage total rewards and benefits strategies to remain competitive in the market.
    • Work with management to ensure the compensation structure aligns with performance outcomes from OKR/KPI/BSC evaluations.

    • 3. Employee Engagement & Culture (10%)
    • Lead employee engagement programs (surveys, team-building events, recognition programs) to foster a positive, inclusive work environment with our current Employee Engagement Specialist.
    • Champion corporate culture consistent with tech-industry standards, especially for Gen Z employees.
    • Collaborate with Talent acquisition and leadership to enhance employer branding, position Sun Studio as an “Employer of Choice.”

    • 4. Talent & Organizational Development (10%)
    • Collaborate with teams to identify training and upskilling needs, developing and managing learning programs.
    • Implement career development plans that align with business goals, fostering growth and increasing employee retention.

    • 5. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution (5%)
    • Handle employee relations issues and resolve conflicts in a professional, timely, and legally compliant manner.
    • Advise management on employee-related policies, practices, and potential risk areas.

    • 6. Compliance & Legal (5%)
    • Ensure HR compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements; proactively address new or unknown matters.

    • 7. HR Policies & Procedures (5%)
    • Design, implement, and periodically review HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance with labor laws.
    • Continuously refine and improve HR processes based on best practices and changing business needs.

    • 8. Strategy & Continuous Improvement (5%)
    • Keep up-to-date with HR trends, industry changes, and employee needs to apply best-fit practices.
    • Propose innovative HR solutions that support the company’s growth, employee satisfaction, and financial health.

Required Qualifications

    • 1. Experience
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing employee performance management, total rewards, and employee development & engagement, especially in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    • 2. Performance Management Expertise
    • Familiarity with OKR, KPI, BSC frameworks, and experience using them to evaluate and develop employee performance.
    • Ability to coach and grow managers/teams in effective goal-setting and results tracking.

    • 3. Total Rewards Expertise
    • Understanding the business goals and how total rewards can support them with a holistic approach to employee compensation and recognition, more than just salary and benefits: its principles, practices, and trends in total rewards, including compensation, benefits, work-life balance, and recognition programs.

    • 4. Mindset & Soft Skills
    • Servant leadership and growth mindset – eager to coach, empower, and develop teams.
    • Strong listening skills; able to assess diverse perspectives and handle sensitive employee matters.
    • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Problem-solving & decision-making abilities; comfortable tackling conflict resolution and HR compliance issues.
    • Leadership skills: Capable of motivating, connecting, and aligning employees with company goals.

    • 5. Culture & Collaboration
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced tech environment, especially with Gen Z employees.
    • Able to build cross-departmental relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
    • Good understanding of corporate culture in tech companies.

    • 6. Technical Aptitude
    • Ability to work with HRIS and other HR technologies effectively.
    • Continuously optimize and improve HR tasks and bring transparency into Operations with digital tools.
    • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, or ability to research and resolve unfamiliar legal matters quickly.

    • 7. Native Vietnamese

      Nice to have
    • Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding: Some understanding of recruiting, and employer branding strategies.
    • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG): Knowledge or experience in these areas is a plus.
    • Payroll & Insurances: Basic familiarity with compensation, benefits administration, or insurance processes.

Compensation and Benefits

1. Work Hours
- Our standard work hours are 9:00 - 18:30, Monday to Friday, in-office, to closely follow and support our leadership.
- We do not micromanage or count your hours; we expect you to take ownership of your work, proactively communicate, and be reachable during work hours.

2. Insurance & Bonus Regime
