ABOUT THE AI NEWS GENERATION INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Legis1’s data platform is expanding into the news business. We’re leveraging our data and AI to create engaging news stories with data and insights. We’re looking for talented tech-forward students who can transform news story templates into AI workflows. Experience with AI, news, or politics helpful but not required. What is required is hard work, critical thinking, and open-mindedness.

POSITION
Legis1 is seeking an intern to contribute to its fall 2025 program on AI news generation. Students will typically be hired on the standard academic semester calendar, so some flexibility in hours will be allowed around exams and other periods of high academic demand on the intern’s time. The internship will be from September through December 2025.  This internship is a paid position. The Legis1 office is near the Red Line metro in DC, about a 10-minute walk, or a short bus ride, from the Twinbrook Metro Station.

RESPONSIBLITIES
Under guidance of full-time staff at Legis1, interns will engage in research that will advance the state of the art of political AI news generation.
