Position Summary

KIND seeks a Human Resources (HR) Operations Coordinator to support the Human Resources function at KIND through a performance of a variety of logistical and administrative HR work in the areas of onboarding, off-boarding, talent management, HRIS systems, total compensation and Wellness initiatives. 
The successful candidate is a highly motivated team player, critical thinker, with excellent writing and communications skills, willing learner, multi-tasker able to time manage effectively with our team.

This a headquarters position based remotely from any location in the U.S.

Essential Functions

    • Human Resources Administration

    • Manages and monitors the HR inbox daily, by responding to employment related inquiries and forwarding requests, as necessary.
    • Coordinates HR events such as listening sessions, meetings, committee calls and presentations; documents and records effective meeting notes, as needed.
    • Assists in execution of organization wide HR initiatives and programs in the areas of Wellness, Talent Management, compensation and benefits.
    • Completes employee file audits, organizes, maintains and updates employee files; ensures files are maintained according to applicable legal and organizational standards (current, terminated, I9, etc.), as necessary.
    • Completes employment verifications requests.
    • Serves as the primary coordinator for new hire onboarding, including scheduling orientations, preparing materials, system setup, and ensuring a seamless experience for new employees.
    • Oversees offboarding processes by coordinating exit procedures, collecting necessary documentation, and ensuring timely system updates.
    • Leads internship program for HR Operations Team.
    • Generates ad hoc reports and HR metrics from HRIS, surveys, exit interviews, and other sources.
    • Organizes, maintains and updates employee files; ensures files are maintained according to applicable legal and organizational standards.
    • Enters and updates employee data in the HRIS (ADP), ensuring accuracy and integrity of organizational records.
    • Provides technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to HRIS users and staff.
    • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from various sources including the HRIS system, employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, etc.
    • Creates and manages maintenance of organizational chart through HRIS systems.
    • Provides administrative support to HR team, as needed.
    • Assists in management of Applicant Tracking System; provides access to hiring managers and creates system accounts, as necessary.
    • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

    • Associate’s degree in human resources or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 1 year of human resources or administrative experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. 
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills; strong cross cultural and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with staff at all levels.
    • Excellent discretion and ability to handle sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.
    • Strong technological skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (such as Teams, Excel, etc.) and applicant tracking and HR information systems, preferably Lever, ADP and/or similar systems.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience using ADP.
    • Ability to work within an office environment and have regular interaction via telephone, videoconference, IM, and email with KIND's team.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and multi-task in our KIND environment, managing numerous priorities and emerging opportunities.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment; ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.
    • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and communication styles.
    • Demonstrate discipline and adaptability to effectively deliver on our core mission of ensuring access to justice and safeguarding children’s well-being and rights.
    • Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Committed to practicing and supporting wellbeing and a work-home life balance. 
    • Experience working and communicating in a remote environment, preferred but not required. 
$46,968 - $58,710 a year
