This is a hybrid work setup at The Hideout, Clark, Pampanga.

The Payroll Supervisor will manage the complete payroll process, ensuring precision and timeliness in employee salary, deduction, and benefits processing, all while upholding tax compliance and company standards. This role involves collaborating with HR and finance departments, overseeing payroll system enhancements, and producing comprehensive financial reports to support organizational functions.

What does a day in the life as a Payroll Supervisor look like?

    • Prepares and processes of the monthly payroll for all employees on the payroll system (Includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing data of new employees, leave, terminations and check and authorize claims)
    • Reviews and ensures accuracy of Payroll run semi-monthly and on special payout, 13th month pay calculation, Tax Annualization, approved advances, travel and overtime claims; Oversee salary changes, compensation, deductions, bonus, vacation payouts, and benefits for employees.
    • Maintains employee records; ensures that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; reviews changes for proper authorization.
    • Facilitates employee participation in various voluntary payroll deduction options by processing voluntary deduction forms, which includes verifying employee eligibility and checking the accuracy of completed forms, and by ensuring the authorized deductions are made from employee paychecks and disbursed to the proper agencies and/or companies designated by the employee.
    • Generates reports for tax payment to ensure compliance.
    • Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development seminars, and attending training and/or courses as directed.
    • Prepares month-end journals, department tagging and reporting integrating to the financial system. (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. expense claims, overtime, leave balances, head count, and month end reports)
    • Prepares and ensures the accuracy of final pay of separated or terminated employees calculation.
    • Review the Payroll Budget Request and inform the Finance Manager and Treasury Supervisor for approval.
    • Researches, analyzes, and resolves all discrepancies, reporting to management as needed.
    • Maintains proper document control system in line with the company’s Data Privacy Act.
    • Act as liaison between payroll system admin and payroll for all system update and improvement in payroll system.
    • Acts as liaison between payroll and human resources, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data essential to payroll and benefits processing
    • Communicates payroll changes to the Human Resource Business Partner and the Finance Manager on a timely manner
    • Perform other duties as assigned

What are the required qualifications for a General Accounting Specialist?

    • Must be a graduate of Accounting, Business Administration major in Finance Management or any trade equivalent
    • Must have at least 5 years of experience in performing all payroll functions.
    • Minimum of at least 2 years of supervisory experience
    • Deep understanding and excellence in using integrated and automated payroll accounting systems
    • Expertise in manual payroll and disputes computation
    • Excellent Business Acumen and Ethical Practice
    • Proficient in using Microsoft and Google office
    • Exceeding ability to focus and be detail-oriented
    • Has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

    • Basic accounting knowledge - Journal entries
