We are looking for strong Backend Engineers who have experience building systems with high availability that grow at scale for our SaaS platform.
You’ll work closely with our front end engineers and our product team, with a direct impact in the products you’ll be building. As a small distributed team, we rely heavily on effective communication and autonomy in order to build, iterate, and ship rapidly.

What you'll be doing:
- Own configurable-driven SaaS billing and rating calculator solutions, releasing code often and confidently.
- Support our document generation, rendering, and customer and partner communication systems through PR reviews and design input.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to enhance our premium calculation features. Assist in the development of modular and scalable financial processing systems.
- Explore new libraries, techniques, and workflows to expand, optimize, or evolve our technical capabilities.
- Be a key contributor to our pod's success when you deliver great solutions, participate in pod events, provide positive, growth-focused guidance on how we each can continue to be engineering successes.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on billing and rating platforms and optimization.
- 3+ years experience with Python, Ruby, Java or Go; Python and Django experience is a huge plus
- Great experience building apps in a secure and PCI-compliant environment.
- Solid understanding of building streaming systems that produce large quantities of immutable, auditable data at scale that have complex aggregation
- Great experience participating in the design and architecture of a project
- Self-directed and self-motivated individuals comfortable working with diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience with AWS or other cloud services
