About You:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Underwriter. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and assessing risk to determine whether to approve or deny applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions based on established guidelines and policies. 

What You’ll Do:

    • Underwrite new and renewal homeowners line of business in the US. 
    • Analyze risk information and make specific recommendations for additional actions such as inspections, loss prevention, etc.  
    • Address queries from other departments, such as claims, billing, and customer support. Act within your underwriting authority and escalate issues if necessary. 
    • Communicate effectively with various distribution partners and leadership to resolve underwriting matters. 
    • Recommend improvements to the underwriting process to underwrting managers and the technology counterparts. 

Must Haves:

    • Previous experience in personal lines property underwriting or a related role preferred. 
    • Strong technical underwriting, analytical, and critical thinking skills. 
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. 
    • English proficiency and schedule flexibility to meet with the US-based teams. This role involves delegations to the US and ongoing collaboration during afternoon hours. 
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
