Sword Health is seeking a dedicated and qualified Mental Health Specialist to join our new mental health initiative. This is a unique opportunity to join an initiative aimed at reshaping the way mental wellness is provided.

As the first clinician on this team, you will spend 50-60% of your time providing support to members, helping them implement science-backed activities that build mental resilience into their daily lives, and the remaining 40-50% of your time defining the program's design and operations.

We're looking for someone passionate about reshaping the mental health industry by leveraging technology to help members implement interventions across physical activity, sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness.
Unlike psychotherapy where the member and the therapist interact primarily during appointments a few times a month, in this role the mental health specialist is expected to check in and help the member stay accountable to their activity goals on a daily basis or as needed, primarily over chat.

This role starts with a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time position over time.

What you will be doing:

    • Provide care focused on helping members implement lifestyle changes that support mental resilience.
    • Implement best practices to foster member engagement, encourage the development of healthy routines, and ensure accountability throughout the program by checking in with members on a daily basis or as needed.
    • Help shape the care plan and product experience based on learnings from member interactions and your expertise to maximize engagement and health outcomes.

What you will need:

    • Unrestricted LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent license (i.e., able to work independently, without supervision from a licensed supervisor) without current, past, or pending disciplinary action
    • Passion for innovating the mental health industry and understanding the interplay of lifestyle interventions and mental wellness.
    • Ability to help members implement interventions across physical activity, sleep, nutrition, and/or mindfulness and build new routines through application of lifestyle coaching, motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and related applicable fields.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Empathetic and compassionate approach to client care.
