About the role
We are looking for a FinOps Senior Specialist to oversee the end-to-end financial operations supporting the sales function. This role will manage accounts receivables, invoicing, collections, and sales performance reporting to drive the company's revenue and profitability objectives. 
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in financial operations, excellent analytical skills, and a knack for strategic planning. 

What You’ll Do

    • Establish streamlined processes for capturing and recording sales data in coordination with the sales team. 
    • Serve as a financial subject matter expert for the sales function 
    • Monitor the customer payment portal on a daily basis to reconcile payments received against outstanding invoices. 
    • Ensure timely and accurate application of customer payments to the appropriate accounts receivable records. 
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments, working closely with the sales team as needed. 
    • Post the financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. 
    • Oversee the invoice generation process, including the accurate calculation of VAT and other applicable taxes or fees. 
    • Record the sales invoices and associated VAT in the accounting system, maintaining the integrity of the accounts receivable subledger. 
    • Regularly review the accounts receivable aging report to identify any overdue or problematic customer balances. 
    • Implement effective credit management and collections strategies, including proactive customer outreach, to minimize past-due accounts and optimize cash flow. 
    • Analyze the accounts receivable balance and trends, and provide recommendations to improve the overall health of the receivables portfolio. 
    • Develop comprehensive sales performance reports that track key metrics, such as revenue, margins, and collection efficiency. 
    • Analyze the financial data and provide valuable insights to the sales and management teams to support informed decision-making. 

Who you are

    • You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 
    • You have previous experience in a finance operations or accounting role, preferably in a sales-driven organization. 
    • You have strong technical skills in accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting. 
    • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams effectively. 
    • Very meticulous and attentive to details. 
    • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership. 
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot quickly to changing business needs.
