About the role
As a Data Science Manager at Sylndr, you will manage and guide a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, BI analysts, and data engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics, business intelligence solutions, and data engineering processes that drive strategic business insights and decision-making. You will ensure the successful execution of data projects, maintain high data integrity, and align data initiatives with overarching business goals. You'll be a part of a diverse and dynamic team that values ownership and encourages positive disruption. 
 


What You’ll Do

    • Manage, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, BI analysts, and data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. 
    • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics, business intelligence solutions, and data engineering processes to address complex business challenges. 
    • Work with cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities for leveraging data to drive business strategies and solutions. 
    • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used in analysis, modeling, and reporting. 
    • Communicate findings and insights to senior management and other key stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner. 
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, BI tools, and data engineering technologies. 
    • Oversee the deployment of machine learning models into production systems and ensure seamless integration with BI and data engineering solutions. 
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data science, BI, and data engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices. 
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and solutions across the organization. 

Who You Are

    • 5 to 7 years in a data-related role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial position. 
    • Extensive experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, business intelligence, and data engineering. 
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. 
    • Strong proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. 
    • Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to query and manipulate complex data sets efficiently. 
    • Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Google BigQuery, Snowflake). 
    • Proficient in data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipeline development. 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely. 
    • Proactive, innovative mindset with keen attention to detail. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. 
    • Having an automotive background is a PLUS.
