Purchasing credits through the carbon markets is one of the most established and scalable ways to channel finance from the private sector to effective climate solutions and work toward societal net zero. Unfortunately, the voluntary carbon markets have been plagued with mistrust and a lack of effectiveness since theyβve emerged β until Sylvera.
To help organizations ensure they're making the most effective investments, Sylvera builds software that independently and accurately automates the evaluation of carbon projects that capture, remove, or avoid emissions. With Sylvera's data and tools, businesses and governments can confidently invest in, benchmark, deliver, and report real climate impact.
Our team is made up of leading minds in climate change from scientists to policy, finance and carbon market experts. We work in partnership with scientific organisations, universities, governments and think tanks to develop and test rigorous and holistic ratings methodologies, leveraging the latest technology. What will I be doing? ββπ©βπ»π¨βπ»
As a key player in this rapidly evolving space, we are growing our commercial team and hiring an exceptional, mission-driven Sales Development Representative to support and drive pipeline.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting
- Identify product fit and schedule meetings with accounts
- Strategize with Account Executives to target prospect accounts to fill pipeline
- Conduct high-level conversations with all levels up to C-Suite and VP-level Executives to address their sustainability goals
- Create strategic emails and outbound campaigns to target prospect accounts
- Continuously maintain and update CRM
- Achieve monthly qualified opportunity metrics and daily KPIs
Weβre looking for someone who: π§ π
- 2+ years experience in business development, sales or related field
- Lead qualification at all levels within organisations β managers, directors, VPs, executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to work from our London office on a regular basis
- Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of the earth
- Is a self-starter who thrives in constantly evolving environments, ideally with start-up experience
- Bring your creativity and ideas to help us build our business and progress the world to Net Zero goals
