We are looking for a Human Resources Manager who can promote the health of our workforce and further develop key elements of our employee-oriented company culture – continuous improvement, key employee retention, employee development, and high performance.

At Synapse, our mission is to accelerate democratization of best-in-class financial products for everybody. In addition to daily responsibilities, a Human Resources Manager is expected to keep up-to-date with company developments and have a general understanding of our products and services.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintain a current understanding of HR compliance, and federal, CA, and SF labor laws
    • Review, investigate, document, and respond to manager and employee needs, concerns and questions including, but not limited to benefits, leave of absences, payroll, attendance, behavior/disciplinary issues, and performance reviews
    • Create and implement optimal processes to further strengthen the well-being of the Company and its employee base
    • Assist with terminations/separations and ensure all follow-up paperwork is complete
    • Handle performance management and improvement systems, and maintain current HR files and databases
    • Perform assigned individual duties, including but not limited to administration of benefits, workers compensation, leave administration

Key Qualifications:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field and/or a valid PHR/SHRM certification
    • A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources positions
    • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building
    • Excellent organizational management skills
    • Previous experience with high-growth companies preferred
