What You Will Do

    • Help customers integrate Synapse products quickly and advise on scaling challenges.
    • Participate in code reviews and guide design for spec sheets and solutions.
    • Guide team members through existing solutions and provide bug fixes and minor enhancements.
    • Occasionally require guidance for technical and customer issues.
    • Collaborate with team members on priorities and technical specifications.
    • Participate in brainstorming, retrospectives, sprint planning, and team game times!
    • Improve and influence our customer’s experience by leveraging your technical skills to deliver creative solutions to difficult problems.
    • Use your technical expertise to assist customers to integrate with Synapse products by providing technical solutions and advice, and overcoming technical challenges.
    • Focus on Technical Advocacy and provide technical solutions to customers' strategic directions and challenges.
    • Actively seek and respond to feedback.
    • Identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
    • Proactively resolve customer issues within the team.

What You Will Bring

    • Expertise in developing production apps in Python.
    • Experience architecting and delivering high-quality, reusable systems.
    • Deep understanding of software engineering best practices and concepts such as SOA, testing practices, code reviews, feature flags, etc.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Statistics is required or 2 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required in lieu; an Advanced degree is a plus.
    • 3+ years of production, core fundamentals, and/or related professional software engineering experience.
    • Solid command of Python programming with a love for writing tests.
    • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
    • Good understanding of AWS Service Experience. (IAM, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Cognito, CloudFront, API Gateway, Organizations, etc) and experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, ElasticSearch, and Kibana.
    • Experience with ELK, MongoDB, Redshift, MySQL, and Redis databases is a plus but not required.
    • Participate in code reviews and guide design for spec sheets and solutions.

Compensation

    • Compensation is expected to be between $127,000 - $182,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and location.
