Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level SAR Engineer to develop and apply advanced algorithms for the analysis of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery. In this role, you'll be instrumental in processing, exploiting, and interpreting SAR data to extract meaningful information. You will leverage your expertise in SAR phenomenology and your strong programming skills, particularly in Python, to build and enhance our analytical capabilities. You'll work collaboratively with a team of talented engineers and data scientists to push the boundaries of what's possible with remote sensing technology.
Responsibilities
- Process and analyze complex SAR imagery from space-based platforms.
- Design, develop, and implement novel algorithms for SAR data exploitation, including object detection, change detection, feature extraction.
- Utilize Python and its scientific computing libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) for data manipulation, algorithm prototyping, and tool development.
- Validate algorithm performance against ground truth data and established benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAR processing capabilities into larger analytical systems and workflows.

BS in EE, Remote Sensing, Physics, CS, or a related technical field.
5+ years in SAR data processing and analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python for scientific programming and data analysis.
- A strong theoretical understanding of SAR fundamentals, including image formation principles, scattering physics, and radar polarimetry.
- Experience handling common SAR data formats (e.g., GeoTIFF).
The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
$150,000 - $175,000 a year
