The Job
We're seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our growing engineering team and help build the backbone of our industry-disrupting analytics platforms. You’ll be responsible for developing robust, scalable software systems with a strong emphasis on API development, data integration, and cloud infrastructure. Software Development & Architecture
- Design and deploy production-grade Python microservices and APIs with emphasis on scalability, performance, and API-first design principles.
- Develop internal packages and shared tooling while contributing to platform-wide architectural improvements.
- Write automated web data scrapers. Clean, process and integrate into data stores.
- Integrate diverse external APIs and ingest proprietary customer data with secure handling practices.
- Build data pipelines, implement data wrangling solutions, and develop real-time streaming systems for large-scale geospatial datasets.
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (GCP) with comprehensive monitoring.
- Participate in technical decision-making and architecture discussions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data processing and cloud computing.
Requirements
- Python & Software Design: Strong experience writing production-grade Python code and designing scalable systems
- API Development: Proven experience with RESTful API design and implementation
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with deploying applications in cloud environments (preferably GCP)
- CI/CD & Testing: Experience with automated deployment pipelines and tests (unit / integration)
- Security & Data Governance: Understanding of secure data handling
- Mindset: Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and adaptable to evolving startup needs
- Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the US or UK
- API-first design, internal package development, and SQL database optimization
- Data pipeline development, ETL processes, and real-time streaming systems
- Performance optimization including multiprocessing, multithreading, query optimization
- GitHub Actions and advanced CI/CD pipeline development
