You will work in a cross-functional development team in which continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing are part of the daily work. You will be an integral contributor to a team responsible for designing cutting edge products for a variety of customers across the telecom, industrial and automotive markets.

What you'll do

    • Translation of customer requirements into proposed FPGA architectures including chipset selection.
    • Collaboration with sales team to consult with customers to discuss capabilities and customer needs.
    • Generation of technical proposals and effort estimates
    • Requirements decomposition of new products into lower-level design blocks.
    • Formal requirements documentation and traceability.
    • Contribute to systems studies on a variety of products including processor boards, networking products and industrial products.
    • May act as the lead technical engineer for project implementation in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Contribute to continuous improvements of products, tools, and processes
    • Mentor/coach more junior members within the systems or broader hardware development teams

What you'll need to get the job done

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • At least 10-15 years of hands-on hardware development experience
    • Minimum 10 years of involvement in FPGA design
    • Experience producing design and verification documentation (specs, test reports, etc.)
    • Experience with Xilinx and Intel SoC FPGAs and tool chains
    • Managing Build and Simulation environments using scripting languages such as TCL and Python
    • Design experience managing multiple clock domains.
    • Ability to use constraint management, RTL optimization techniques, and floor planning to achieve timing closure.
    • High Speed interfaces, serial communications
    • Experience with the integration of 3rd party IP blocks
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
    • Driving issues to closure
