Are you ready to be part of a leading global engineering design house specializing in the design and development of embedded software/hardware, electronics, and electro-mechanics?
This is a key development position for our customer’s optical line modules. You will be working on the industry’s most advanced DWDM transport products, which are powered by our customer’s cutting-edge PIC technology, sophisticated optics and world-class Coherent DSP ASICs.
This position requires 6+ years of software development experience with an emphasis on Linux kernel configurations and optimizations, excellent embedded C/C++ coding skills, and a good understanding of multi-threaded embedded system design.
What you'll do
- Code design, implementation and testing for next generation of Optical Engine used for Long Haul, Metro and Data Center Interconnects
- Update and configure Linux kernel, including:
- Interrupts
- Device drivers
- Memory
- CPU adaptations
- BSP development for ARM-based platforms
- Requirement and design documentation
- Debug and fix customer issues
What you'll need to get the job done
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 6+ years of development experience utilizing Linux in multi-threaded real time environment
- Great C/C++ programming skills
- Experience in platform bring-up and debug, including boot loader coding (uboot)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are critical to this position
- Experience with software version control (Like Perforce, GIT) and bug tracking systems are required
