What you’ll do

    • Provide engineering support for product development activities, including component selection and sourcing of critical parts.
    • Work under the guidance of component engineers to support the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) program.
    • Support the acquisition of component-level data by engaging with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
    • Participate in internal electrical engineering (EE) process reviews and offer guidance or training on EEE (electrical, electronic, electromechanical) requirements.
    • Assist design engineers with component selection based on heritage, quality, and reliability requirements defined by customers or programs.
    • Interact closely with supply chain and contract manufacturers to ensure product compliance and quality.
    • Respond to internal technical inquiries related to released products.
    • Test components and sub-assemblies to validate performance as needed.
    • Review and manage supply chain challenges between vendors and contract manufacturers.

What you MUST have to get the job done

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Physics or related field.
    • Postgraduate degree is an asset.

What will make us REALLY love you

    • Direct experience working with Sphera to support and execute Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) pilot programs.
    • Hands-on experience with the Oracle Agile PLM system, particularly in preparing and managing key component data for sustainability and compliance tracking.
    • Prior engagement with SiliconExpert to obtain component-level data for reliability, environmental compliance, and risk analysis.
    • Familiarity with the optical industry’s qualification and testing processes, and awareness of its unique challenges.
