About the Role:
As a DevOps AWS Engineer, you play a crucial role in automating all relevant repetitive tasks. You will engage closely with product squads to deliver highly available and scalable services to build automation scripts and frameworks to improve operational processes and procedures and to drive ongoing improvements and efficiencies in tools & processes, to provide a seamless transition of the automation platform from the current supplier towards the internal platform, to build and deploy automation to manage repetitive operational tasks both in the cloud as well as on-premise environments.

What You Need to Know:
-Proven Experience: At least five years of experience as DevOps related role
-Experience with AWS (ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, Lambda): this is a must, nice to have experience with another cloud provider such as Azure or GCP
-AWS certification is not a requirement but candidates with AWS Developer Associate or AWS Architect Associate certification will have a competitive advantage
-Infrastructure knowledge and experience with the Cloud area of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services
-Strong understanding of Networking concepts (VPC’s, Subnets, Routing tables, TransitGateway, Lattice, NACL, VPN, etc.)
-Security concepts in Identity Access Management (IAM), roles and policies, cross account access management, least privileged access composition
-Monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third parties such as Prometheus or GrafanaCI/CD software like Code Pipeline, Code Deploy …, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins (Azure DevOps can also be considered)
-Automation Tools knowledge: hands-on work with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CloudFormation, CDK (Python, Typescript) or Terraform) and Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or chef. Is a plus other tool such as Bicep, ARM or Pulumi.
-Programming language Proficiency: Hands-on experience with BASH, Python or Typescript and the ability to write scripts without effort
-Containerization Knowledge: Familiarity with containers, Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes as an orchestration platform
-Open-Source Enthusiasm: A passion for working with, contributing to, and open-source technologies that drive innovation.
-Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science to underpin your practical skills with a solid theoretical foundation.
-Strong drive for automation, recognizing, analyzing, and converting manual processes to automated ones
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
