POSITION PURPOSE
 
This Critical Facilities Technician Skillbridge program aims to provide transitioning active-duty service members with specialized training and experiences in critical facilities management.  In this 6-month program, you will learn all our critical infrastructure facilities' maintenance, operation, and optimization, ensuring their reliability and performance and preparing you for a civilian career in fields such as data center, telecommunications, power generation, and other industries that rely on mission-critical infrastructure. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Facility Management: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on critical facility equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical distribution systems, and backup power systems.
 
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor critical facility systems and respond promptly to alarms or issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to ensure uninterrupted operation.
 
Preventative Maintenance: Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of critical systems. Conduct regular inspections and assessments.
 
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and facility
documentation. Provide detailed reports as necessary.
 
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, facility managers, and external vendors, to ensure seamless operation and address facility-related challenges.
 
Emergency Response: Act as a first responder during critical situations. Follow established protocols for emergency response and coordinate efforts to minimize downtime and impact.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
·           Must be a transitioning active-duty U.S. military service member.
·           Experience in facility maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
·           Familiarity with critical facility systems such as HVAC, electrical distribution, and backup power systems.
·           Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
