The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for managing the development and consistent implementation of safety, security, and environmental compliance programs.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinates contact post-award pre-mobilization activities including but not limited to:  
    • o   Coordination of EHS management tool training 
      o   Initiation and tracking of orientation process.  
      o   Sends out updates and approvals of received pre-mobilization documentation to sites and upper management. 
      o   Sends out templates to aid in subcontractor mobilization. 
      o   Initiation of outsourcing of EHS contractors. 
      o   Coordinates 2-week training for New EHS hires. 
    • Assists coordinator(s) in document control and development.
    • Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance.
    • Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
    • Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
    • Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards.
    • Oversees all EHS metrics and will send out reports on a routine basis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
    • 5+ years of direct construction safety experience, preferred
    • OSHA 510 and/or 500 a plus
    • CHST or CSP preferred 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES

    • Thorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations
    • Advance knowledge of constructions safety standards
    • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve long term vision while adjusting to daily challenges.
    • Ability to challenge, explain, and defend safety programs with diplomacy.
    • Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and train others.
