VP of Europe and Africa

Tachyus delivers the leading prescriptive analytics platform to oil and gas producers. Our customers include many of the largest companies and state-owned entities on the planet with whom we have complex high-value relationships. We need a VP of Europe and Africa to run our business development and customer success across the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Russia and Africa to ensure that we acquire the right customers and they are subsequently delighted working with Tachyus so that they renew deals worth tens of millions or more to Tachyus.

The right candidate will bring experience managing teams of business development and customer successful professionals and working personally to close and maintain accounts with Fortune 500 executives in the oil and gas industry. The right candidate will have a deep network of existing contacts across Europe and Africa to call upon as we expand our footprint. Tachyus's VP of Europe and Africa will be the member of the leadership team tasked with maximizing the happiness of European and African customers, ensuring renewals, and achieving successful upsells. The right hire will aggressively grow Tachyus’ European and African revenue and expand our customer success and account management processes accordingly.

We are looking for someone who is excited to own our most important customer relationships across the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Russia and Africa, build and lead teams on the ground in those locations, and ensure our European and African customer relationships grow and thrive.


    • Lead all European and African Customer Success Engineers and Managers to sell and deploy Tachyus software across the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Russia and Africa
    • Identify and grow opportunities within European and African oil and gas producers by extending our solutions footprint (more solutions to more assets)
    • Convert field trial contracts into initial sales contracts
    • Renew enterprise-wide deals with existing customers
    • Ensure continued rapid revenue growth for Tachyus
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
    • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
    • Forecast and track key European and African account metrics
    • Roll up sleeves and get hands dirty leading by example


    • Extensive existing oil and gas domain experience as a service provider
    • Management experience leading teams and being accountable for a P&L
    • Proven track record managing major enterprise accounts
    • Proven track record of closing multi millions dollars deals 
    • Business development experience interfacing with senior executives of oil and gas operators
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Curiosity to build and define new ways of doing business as a leader of a startup customer success and business development team
    • 75% Traveling between Europe, Africa and the US
    • Fluency in English and one of Dutch, Norwegian or Russian


    • A petroleum engineering degree
    • Experience with software production management systems
    • Experience in multiple regions
    • Fluency in multiple of Dutch, Norwegian and Russian
