Customer Success Engineer: Middle East

Tachyus delivers the leading prescriptive analytics platform to oil and gas producers. Our customers include many of the largest companies and state-owned entities on the planet with whom we have complex high-value relationships. We need a Customer Success Engineer to ensure that our Middle East customers are delighted working with Tachyus so that they renew deals worth tens of millions or more to Tachyus.

The right candidate will bring experience managing relationships with petroleum engineers and geologists and a deep network of existing contacts across the Middle East. Tachyus Customer Success Engineers work with our customer success managers and IT experts to maximize the happiness of existing customers, ensure renewals, and achieve successful upsells. The right hire will present crucial petrotechnical information, train petroleum engineers how to use Tachyus software, and manage key customer relationships to delight our Middle East customers.

We are looking for someone who will represent Tachyus with customers in Middle East and is open to traveling to multiple neighboring regions.


    • Identify and grow opportunities within assigned oil and gas producers and collaborate with Tachyus business development to extend our solutions footprint (more solutions to more assets)
    • Train customers' petroleum engineers on how to use Tachyus' breakthrough technology
    • Present valuable petrotechnical findings to Tachyus customers
    • Ensure continued rapid revenue growth for Tachyus in the Middle East
    • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all petrotechnical matters specific to Tachyus customers once the solutions are deployed
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and engineering champions
    • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
    • Obtain referrals from customers to increase the portfolio of Tachyus success stories
    • Forecast and track key account metrics
    • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed


    • Extensive existing oil and gas domain experience as a service provider
    • Proven track record implementing software solutions for major enterprise accounts
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively about crucial petrotechnical information
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Curiosity to build and define new ways of doing business as an early member of a startup customer success engineering team
    • At least a bachelors in petroleum engineering


    • Experience with software production management systems
    • Experience writing software or analyzing data
    • Business development experience
    • At least a masters in petroleum engineering and/or computer science
