We are a dynamic technology company driven by a vision of innovation and excellence. Our success hinges on the expertise and dedication of our engineering team. We empower our engineers to turn our vision into reality, offering the chance to make significant contributions while fostering internal collaboration and best practices. Our core "Data Physics" algorithms, a fusion of Python and Matlab, tackle complex oil field challenges using highly parallelizable, dynamic computing environments. From Windows development to Linux-based deployment, our engineers work within a microservices architecture deployed on Kubernetes, optimizing cloud-scale operations.

Key Responsibilities

    • Bridge the gap between our research and platform software teams.
    • Architect and implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines for microservices and algorithms.
    • Manage production and staging environments in both public cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
    • Develop and implement monitoring and tracing solutions for all production systems.
    • Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency in our production systems.

Requirements

    • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, with 4+ years in DevOps, build engineering, or deployment engineering roles.
    • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting, especially in parallel programming and distributed computing.
    • Familiarity with both Linux and Windows platforms.
    • Enthusiasm for collaborating with a rapidly growing, values-driven startup.
    • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Proficient with Github Actions
    • Experience in deploying Kubernetes clusters.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Argo Workflows.
    • Proficiency in managing MinIO, S3 Proxy
    • Knowledge of compiled Matlab.
    • Familiarity with Google Cloud and Windows Azure.
    • Proven expertise in scaling algorithms across a large number of CPUs.
    • Demonstrated technical leadership abilities.
Founded in 2014, Tachyus is a leader in operational optimization for the oil and gas industry. Aqueon, our waterflood modeling and optimization platform powered by our proprietary engine Data Physics, has increased production and reduced costs and GHG emissions for operators worldwide. We also recently extended Aqueon for CO2 EOR optimization, which major US operators already use.

In early 2022, Tachyus entered the ESG space with Aurion, a fully integrated software platform that helps GHG-intensive industries like oil and gas estimate, forecast, optimize and report GHG emissions and intensity. Since then, we have rapidly established ourselves as a leader, with over 20 clients in the US, the Middle East, and Latin America.
