We’re looking for a Saudi Community Manager to join our in-house community engagement team at tactical. We want our client to be a source of memes in Saudi pop culture through excellent community management.
You’ll be intimately familiar with all things entertainment in & out of Saudi. Local & global. You love TV shows, movies, and everything in between and can talk about it for hours. You know how fans talk & can talk like one too.
You’re extremely online. You’re someone that’s glued to X (Twitter) & TikTok timelines and loves creating content that makes people feel all the feelings — laugh, cry (in a good way) or smile.
You know Saudi inside out. From cultural references to slang. You have an opinion on Riyadh traffic, might have a love/hate relationship with Sheilat, and probably queue up outside بَاء بيك هاوس regardless of how long the line is.
You’re highly creative and self-motivated, have excellent creative copywriting skills (White Saudi, Najdi), and collaborate well with others.
You have a great sense of humour & love a good pun.
Responsibilities
- You’ll respond to comments from fans, talent, and influencers. You’ll take on a tone of voice with the more relatable persona of a real, human. You know what will get people liking & sharing and you’re in on all the inside jokes
- You can call up movie or TV show scenes instantly so you can create content that speaks to local & global trends that deepens the brand's relationship with Saudis and connects stories & moments to local trends in real time
- You’ll figure out how to make global titles relevant & exciting for Saudis. You have a good intuition as to what Saudis will share and talk about
- You’ll work fast to stay topical & actively search for engagement opportunities. As long as there’s conversation on entertainment in Saudi, the brand will be there… because of you.
- You’ll contribute to new content formats & content ideas that gets shared, talked about and builds relevance & credibility with Saudis. You’ll proactively bring ideas to the table based on trends and comments on how to make the cleint even bigger
- You’ll write captions for TikToks & other social content
- You’ll actively listen across social and follow influential voices to summarise daily chatter & gauge sentiment
Experience & Competencies
- You’re a Saudi national
- You’ve got to love community management
- You’ve got to love entertainment
- 1+ year in community management in White Saudi or Najdi Arabic
- Excellent creative writing White Saudi skills. We have a differentiated tone of voice & want to build on that persona
- Intimate familiarity with social platforms (e.g. TikTok, X, Instagram etc.). You know how to optimise a TikTok thumbnail, the importance of the first frame on an Instagram reel and are deeply interested in content performance
- Attention to detail. We move fast. You hate typos as much as we do
- Having an established online community of your own is a nice to have
