The Role

    • You’re passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the region’s entertainment industry and how to genuinely engage audiences in relevant conversations
    • You understand the unique nature of Middle Eastern and South East Asian entertainment consumers, as well as the diversity of the landscape, including cultural nuances, Arabic dialects and trending topics and opportunities in these markets
    • You eat, sleep, breathe pop culture, especially regionally 
    • You’re ultimately responsible for driving the creativity, content ideation and quality control across all social channels with ambitions to drive bigger consumer marketing campaigns
    • You’ll guide and develop the team to constantly push the boundaries of Always-On social content, and look at ways to integrate bolder ideas that aren’t necessarily included in the scope e.g. proactive campaign ideas, TikTok concepts, You’ll lead on creative brainstorms and ideation as regularly as required (at least once per month), keeping an up-to-date reference of best practice examples
    • You'll manage both internal and external stakeholders. This includes client communication, account and team management, managing expectations and delivering to deadlines
    • You are a creative thinker who can actively conceptualise ideas that drive brand interest, love and engagement; you constantly come up with fresh concepts to always better social marketing efforts and achieve desired results
    • You’ll constantly be researching ideas and references to help improve the account. You think strategically and lead the execution on the agreed social strategy.
    • You are confident in written and spoken Arabic (modern standard) and can copyright engaging captions as part of building a monthly social calendar
    • You're always up-to-date on the technical and creative best practice details of social networks including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat in order to deliver best-in-class social and content experiences
    • Whilst you don’t need to actively create the content, you’re fully aware of trending formats, conversations, creative references and entertainment industry news to guide and brief the relevant teams to develop assets 
    • You’re agile, proactive and organised. When something happens in the entertainment industry you know about it, you don’t wait to be told
    • You’ll have a deep understanding of what content is driving performance and why, using these insights to further drive creative ideas
    • You understand how to optimise workflows and client communication to deliver the best work

Experience

    • Confident in written and spoken Arabic, including regional dialects
    • Historical copywriting skills is a major advantage
    • Extremely well versed in all things social, with 3-5+ years experience working on social for a major brand
    • Entertainment industry is preferable
    • 3-5+ years experience working with global brands in creative development / ideation and campaign concepts
    • 2+ years of managing, leading and motivating a team
    • 2+ years of client experience
