Tactical is looking for a social media manager to join our awesome Sports team. This is an opportunity to build on an existing team that’s been delivering best in class social experiences for sporting events and partners across the world.

Sport fans demand a sophisticated experience on social and mobile. They’re connected with their teams, players and idols through interactions that bring them closer to the game, now more than ever before. 

Whether it’s the build-up, in-action live commentary and opinion, or post-match highs and lows, the nature of sports is more expressive, real-time and demanding than ever before. This is where our social, content and media teams have been doing their best work.

Having worked on campaigns across the USA, Singapore, Scotland, Thailand, UAE, Saudi Arabia and more, we’re looking to accelerate our growth into new markets and across additional sports.

Our goal is to deliver social, content and media services to the biggest sporting events around the globe. We’re looking for a social media manager to join the Sports pod and support us in smashing that goal.

What you'll do

    • Content
    • Define the overall content & channel strategy for key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook)
    • Work with the social media and content team to develop & execute content ideas / concepts and develop weekly content calendars based on weekly themes
    • Write creative captions that tell a story and speak directly to the relevant demographic
    • Work with the Social Media Executive to execute all social publishing, posting & scheduling
    • Creative briefing and collaborating across creative teams to ensure that every brief, output is best in class & meets best practice
    • Quality control social channels, ensuring client objectives and best practices are implemented, as well as review all content produced
    • Ad hoc campaign planning and development - research, build on opportunities, come up with creative social executions and campaign ideas that can be distributed across relevant social platforms

    • Community Management
    • Build and develop one-on-one relationships on social going beyond answering inquiries and dealing with crises within community management (on-page and off-page)
    • Community service
    • Respond to questions / queries in a professional and timely manner 

    • Reporting
    • Trend reports on best in class content & social campaigns in the sport industry
    • Report on KPIs to maximise the impact for the client
    • Develop a plan for social media growth across all our client’s channels 
    • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies on behalf of tactical sport
    • Maintain and develop the knowledge and skills relevant for the position of Social Media Manager to feed back to your line manager and the team

    • Live Coverage
    • Drive live coverage at events; this may be local or internationally
    • React quickly and creatively to live sport while planning and publishing content across all platforms
    • Understand the inner workings of sports tournaments and be able to be in the right place at the right time to capture / post live content
    • Maintain a professional, business-like approach when representing tactical with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring the reputation of the tactical is maintained and enhanced at all times

    • You have established experience developing and delivering social media strategies and creative copywriting
    • You have in-depth functional knowledge and a deep understanding of content best practice on social media channels like Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, etc
    • Your English copywriting skills are on point 
    • You have experience working at live sports events in social media
    • You have the ability to create, manage and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
    • You have the ability to plan ahead, organise and think practically
    • You have the ability to produce regular, accurate and engaging content to tight deadlines across multiple projects
