Tactical is looking for a Traffic Manager to join our growing business in the Business Operations team. You’ll work closely with our Operations Lead to ensure our product delivery teams are sufficiently resourced to drive creative excellence. You’ll be an integral part of the team, working with all functions across Tactical including our Business Growth, Project Management and Creative Delivery teams.

Responsibilities

    • Planning and scheduling creative delivery team resource requirements:
    • Plan and schedule day-to-day resource requests, upholding the resourcing workflow from project managers into creative teams
    • Assess and evaluate briefs as they move through the studio, making sure they are comprehensive and follow up any missing information or incomplete requests
    • Work with creative delivery teams to monitor workload and aid prioritisation of multiple deadlines, with proactive insight gained from project & social managers
    • Support Operations Lead in the freelance contractor process, including identifying the need against future capacity, freelancer outreach, updating the freelancer tracker, maintaining freelancer contacts and database
    • Proactively support utilisation targets by communicating availability and capacity to open up the team for proactive projects, or skill development time with their team leads.

    • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Tactical
    • Monitor and manage team workload and capacity to ensure deadlines are met and team workload is balanced 
    • Understand team skill-sets and client knowledge to inform allocation decisions across all creative delivery teams  
    • Collaborate on allocations for new clients and larger delivery projects to give team members growth opportunities, and set the projects up for creative excellence

    • Work closely with project managers and social managers to:
    • Understand and schedule social retainer briefs with multi-disciplinary creative resource requirements, and varying frequency across the weeks and months
    • Communicate weekly capacity of the creative teams to steer social managers to better organise their client pipeline
    • Attend weekly account portfolio sessions to review delivery status, review and solve any resourcing issues throughout the projects

    • Support the Resource Manager/Operations Lead to:
    • Monitor and report on creative team capacity to inform forward planning, flag any immediate capacity bottlenecks or needs to contract additional resource 
    • Escalate project and client priorities in times of high demand, maintaining a pragmatic approach to business priorities, and supporting to find additional solutions
    • Maintain clear and consistent communication on any current and/or near-term capacity constraints

    • Support the People, Operations & Finance Team to:
    • Maintain workflows to encourage efficiencies, productivity and drive resource management best practice 
    • Encourage and promote engagement of Forecast by all relevant teams across the business, especially to complete timesheets and log tasks
    •  Align with Team Leads and Talent Acquisition team when needed, to identify internal resourcing needs and specific skill set requirements based on insights from previous and future client briefs

    • Team player: You remain calm under pressure and know how to play to your strengths to support your various stakeholders across the business
    • Domain expert: You have prior hands-on experience and knowledge of managing resourcing processes. You understand the disciplines within a digital agency and have worked with enterprise management tools
