The Role:
This role will report to our Program Manager and will be responsible for PCB design, rapid prototyping, and IR&D efforts. An average day as an Electrical Engineer at TAG will see you handling some combination of the tasks below:
1.     Supporting the design, documentation, integration, and test of both commercial and custom hardware components, which entails the following:
 a.     Requirements documents
 b.     Performance specifications
 c.      Schematic capture, PCB design and testing
 d.     Cable and test fixture design
 e.     Prototype assembly and testing
2.     Supporting the test and production of hardware components, which entails the following:
 a.     Schematics and circuit boards
 b.     Assembly procedures
 c.      Functional test procedures
 d.     Design verification procedures
 e.     System testing

Requirements: (You MUST bring these skills to our team.)
1.     Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or similar technical field.
2.     Experience with CAD tools, such as, OrCAD, Allegro Altium, PADS, etc.
3.     Experience with PCB assembly and test procedures.
4.     Experience with laboratory test equipment- oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, power supplies, DMM, etc.
5.     Knowledge of hardware communication standards.
6.     Strong verbal, writing, and documentation skills.  
7.     Eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
8. Experience with microcontrollers and microprocessor integration.
 
Nice to Haves: (You don't need to have all of these, but they sure help.)
1.     GPS, GNSS experience strongly desired.
2.     Experience with Software Defines Radios (SDRs) and RF receivers.
3.     Passion for learning new technologies.
4.     COTS System on module integration.
5.     Ability to work independently, as well as having the ability to collaborate with team groups.
6.     DoD Secret or TS cleared
