We are seeking a thoughtful and motivated Executive Assistant to be the supportive force behind key executive leaders at Tala, reporting directly to Tala’s Chief Product Officer. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience supporting executives and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. You will intuitively manage challenging calendars and work closely with our executives and EAs to accommodate commitments and maximize impact. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in anticipating needs, possesses deep critical thinking skills, and is a natural problem solver. You must be proactive, reliable, and extremely detail-oriented.

What you’ll do

    • Directly manage a small number of executive calendars, ensure alignment with priorities, and take a proactive approach toward managing time and efficiency for those executives
    • Organize key virtual and onsite meetings across the executive team, including support with travel and meeting logistics as needed
    • Act as a point of contact for external partners, candidates, and vendors to gatekeep executive time and focus as appropriate
    • Support preparation of key meeting agendas, documents, and presentations, gathering and organizing content from relevant stakeholders
    • Contribute to team and office culture through periodic support with event coordination, celebrations, and other projects as assigned
    • Support department or company-wide offsites
    • You will need to be onsite in our Santa Monica office approximately 10-25% of the time

What you’ll need

    • Direct experience supporting C-level executives
    • Phenomenal organizational skills and attention to detail 
    • Interest in Tala’s mission and business
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Proactive mindset, able to work independently to complete tasks 
    • Exceptional judgment and strong verbal/written communication skills
    • Solid proficiency with G-Suite, Slack, MS Office tools
    • Execute work with a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens 
    • Experience coordinating across teams in multiple time zones is a plus
    • The ability to create and edit slides in Google Slides, Powerpoint, and/or Keynote is a plus
