About the Role

If you're looking for a job where you can make a real difference in people's lives, look no further. As our People Engagement Specialist, you'll be the architect of a workplace culture where employees feel engaged, valued, and supported. 

The People Engagement Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the People team in the Philippines. The role will be responsible for planning and executing employee engagement activities, developing communication strategies, and implementing DEI initiatives. They also coordinate day-to-day office operations, and provide support to the People Director and Generalist.

What You'll Do

    • Employee Engagement

    • Plan, organize, and execute engagement events and activities to foster a sense of community and belonging among employees (e.g., Annual PH-wide Team Building, Monthly wellbeing/training calendar, Year-end Celebration)
    • Together with PH People Generalist, conduct focus groups and 1:1 employee check-ins to gather feedback and insights on employee needs and concerns.
    • Develop and implement communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged and recognize key wins/milestones.


    • Wellbeing and Training

    • Develop and implement wellbeing programs to promote employee health and well-being.
    • Conduct training needs assessment via survey or focus groups to identify key competency gaps and training opportunities.
    • Coordinate training and development opportunities for employees with external vendors (MindNation, Maxicare, other speakers).


    • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

    • Develop and implement DEI initiatives to create an inclusive workplace for all employees.
    • Facilitate DEI training and workshops for employees.


    • Facilities and Office Management

    • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the office, including inventory management, maintenance and repair requests.
    • Ensure that the office is a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for employees.
    • Coordinate office moves and renovations, including selection of contractors, designs and project oversight. 


    • People Operations

    • Provide support as needed to People Director and People Generalist in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, performance management and development of employees.
    • Provide administrative support, as needed, to the People Generalist.

What You'll Need

    • Strong project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and approachable personality.
    • Experience in planning and executing events.
    • Experience in writing and editing org communications.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Previous experience working in a hybrid start-up environment is a plus
    • Familiarity with presentation and design software (Google Slides, Canva, etc) preferred.
